8 things you should never do

They say that experience is the best teacher, so I compiled a helpful list of things you should never do (things that I’ve learned recently):

  1. Share a water bottle with your nephew who is eating crackers
  2. Toss a pair of shoes into the washer without checking what they’re made of
  3. Drive ½ hour home from work with your boss’s credit card
  4. Hook your finger on your kitchen faucet while you are filling a measuring cup
  5. Add an extra cup of pumpkin to your pumpkin bread recipe (we called it “pumpkin pound cake”)
  6. Play instead of close your Spanish Bible app when you’re talking with a Menards salesperson
  7. Plop down onto the pew when the moderator introduces the visiting speaker…while everyone else remains standing…in the church you are visiting for the very first time
  8. Expect no one to notice how often you step out of the house in socks and flip-flops
